From October 10 to 18, 2026, thanks to a temporary modification, even those who use manual or electric wheelchairs will be able to reach the elevator access level independently. This initiative is part of a program of accessibility projects launched by the Procuratoria di San Marco <strong>under the Framework Agreement with the University of Udine and the IUAV University of Venice<\/strong>. The first concrete implementation involves none other than the \u201cparon de casa\u201d (St. Mark\u2019s \u201chost\u201d). A <strong>temporary ramp<\/strong>, located on the right side of the Loggetta and the main entrance, will allow visitors to overcome the elevation difference and <strong>easily reach the elevator<\/strong>. Access will be available during normal opening hours, from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with no reservation required. <strong>Admission is free<\/strong> for people with disabilities and one companion. This initiative will be carried out in close collaboration with the Patriarchate. The ramp was built thanks to a contribution from the company EPS.
